About Us

Located in the old Lillard Hardware building on the east side of Decatur's Historic Square, Memory Lane Gifts and Antiques is a life-long dream of owner Betty Stephens.   Having been involved in the antique business for many years and seeing the need for a unique gift shop, she established the business in 1988. 

In 1991, her daughter Donna and son-in-law Sammy Teal joined the business, and together they have designed a business which continues to grow each year by offering a large selection of fine gifts.  In due time, they added a Bridal Registry, which is a great part of the business today. 

Donna's daughter Jaime Teal Butler has worked part-time while attending the University of North Texas, making her a third generation employee.  The shop's window displays and in-store vignettes are a tribute to her creativity in design.  Amanda Willams, who grew up in Decatur's retail community, is also a part-time employee.
